Born and raised in the Peace Country I have called the MD of Spirit River home for most of my life; and I currently operate a 2500 acre grain farm within the boundaries of the MD.
Prior to being elected to council I have and continue to serve as co-chair for the Central Peace Seed Cleaning Co-op, as well as serving on the board of directors for the Alberta and Prairie Oat Growers Associations.
Athletics and the outdoors are both passions. I am an active member of the Spirit River curling club as well as the head instructor for a local martial arts club teaching karate to local youth and adults.
During the summer months, like many Canadians when the time permits you will find me enjoying our lakes and rivers.
As a Councillor for the M.D. #133 I represent the following Boards;
Municipal Planning Commission, Agricultural Service Board, Central Peace Seed Cleaning Co-op, Grande Spirit Foundation, Central Peace Health Council, Land Use Planning Committee, Regional Fire Commission, Seniors Housing, Central Peace Medical Clinic replacement and Central Peace Medical Services Corporation Director.

I am currently in my fourth term on the M.D. #133 Council. I live on the original family farm that was established in 1916. For many years my husband Ace and I owned Berwyn Insurance in Berwyn, Alberta. In 2000 we moved back to the farm. In 2001 we sold Berwyn Insurance and I went back to college and took the Horsemanship program at Fairview College.
Today I raise Arabians and Quarter Horses and I am also an Equine Certified Western Riding Instructor. I instruct horsemanship, judge camps, and host clinics, and put on horsemanship camps
My main passions are going green, protecting the environment, health care, and making good contributions to the community and Province.

Peace Library- Executive, Municipal Planning Commission, Agricultural Service Board, FCSS Board, Heritage Resource Committee, VSI Services, Grande Spirit Foundation, PREDA (Peace River Economic Development Alliance)- Chair, Personnel Committee; Labour Management Committee, Peace Library System, Central Peace Health Council, Central Peace Attraction and Retention Committee (CPARC).
I also sit on the Community Futures Board as a volunteer.
