Division #1

I am currently in my second term on the M.D. #133 Council. I live on the original family farm that was established in 1916. For many years my husband Ace and I owned Berwyn Insurance in Berwyn, Alberta. In 2000 we moved back to the farm.  In 2001 we sold Berwyn Insurance and I went back to college and took the Horsemanship program at Fairview College.

Today I raise Arabians and Quarter Horses and I am also an Equine Certified Western Riding Instructor. I instruct horsemanship, judge camps, and host clinics.

My main passions are going green, protecting the environment, health care, and making good contributions to the community and province.

As a Councilor for the M.D. #133  I represent the following boards:  Municipal Planning Commission, Agricultural Service Board, Peace Library System Board, Vice Chair of PREDA, Central Peace Health Council, Central Peace Medical Clinic Council and the G-3 Committee.   I also sit on the Community Futures Board as a volunteer.

Councilor, Larry Wallin

Division #2

I was born in Elnora, Alberta. My family moved to Camrose and then off to Forestburg where I attended High School. During my High School years I worked for farmers after school hours and during the summer months. I have always had a love for the land and have a deep interest in farming and cattle. I moved up to the Peace Country in 1977 and began working on a mixed farming operation near Woking, Alberta.

My wife Barb and I purchased some farm land south of Spirit River, where we raised our two children Ryan and Jennifer.

Today we run a mixed farming operation and hope to enter the purebred market raising Red Angus cattle.

Together as a family we have been very active in the East West Woking 4H Beef Club where I was the beef leader for 7 years.

I sit on the board of directors for the Wanham Grazing Reserves.

I am presently on my first term on council and enjoy the challenge.

As a councilor for the M.D. #133 I also represent the following Boards;

Municipal Planning Commission, Agricultural Service Board Chairman, Grande Spirit Foundation, F.C.S.S., M.D. #133 Fire Department, Inter-Municipal Relations Committee, Disaster Services Committee, South Peace Water Project, Land Use Planning Steering Committee and the G-3 Committee.
